Cup And A Conversation

For the past six months I have occasionally been working at the Few Gifts Art Hub in Garforth, trying to get our community excited about clay. I have done many throwing sessions involving both adults and children and I also started a once a month hand building activity called Cup And A Conversation. Adults would come and learn to hand build a cup and talk, essentially learning a new skill and enjoying others company. In smaller groups we usually communed together talking about various aspects of life. In big groups, people would usually talk amongst themselves. It was a relaxed activity and after drying, firing and glazing everyone would have to joy of drinking coffee out of their very own (sometimes huge) mug. I am not very good at promoting feedback as I usually just say thank you and leave it at that but this one was so lovely and ratified what the event was supposed to do, so I thought I’d share it.
