'To know one thing, you must know the opposite'

Im currently half way through this years sculpture club with the Aspire School Partnership. We are learning about Henry Moore. It is the highlight of my year and it gives the chance for 20 children to focus on an artist and then we visit the Yorkshire Sculpture Park to see their work.

Last week we made clay masks like Henry Moore, his were carved from stone but the kids tried to copy his masks sculptures using clay. To be honest an hour and a half isn't long enough for the kids to naturally explore the behaviour of clay, it takes time but they did a good job. I don't want to paint them as I like them as they are but Im sure the kids will.
