Community Art Club 2025

October 26th was the last community art club for 2025. I just want to thank Leeds Cultural Investment Programme for funding this years activity.

I am genuinely so happy how it went. Even on one of the hottest days in August, we still got a good turn out. Its been really interesting to work with so many wonderful people who come together and make time for their own art making. The feedback has been great and I will share that below but I just wanted to say that I started out with one simple goal, that people would be inspired make space for their own art making in their own home. I sent out a questionnaire in June/July, the responses were positive with an emphasis that people didn’t have time to make art and they were using art club to do that, but by the end, a few people had created spaces in their own homes for regular art making for wellbeing

Im really happy to say we have funding for next year through the CO-OP community fund so everyone is happy about that! Overall, Ive just been so incredibly impressed by people just coming and making time for personal art making in this very busy, and often overwhelming world.
